The additional expenses for property purchase in Greece are the following

  • Legal Fees: Legal fees are around 0.40% to 1,5% of the property value, plus 24% VAT
  • Notary Fees: Notary fees are around 0.65% to 1,5% of the property value, plus 24% VAT
  • Title transition tax: if it was granted prior to 2006, the tax payable is 3% cadastre price. if it was granted after 2006, the tax payable is 24% cadastre price
  • Mortgage registry fee: Mortgage registry fee is 0,5%
